Expanding Career Growth Opportunities for Women Employees in Europe Through Sponsorship Programs
Nippon Sanso in Europe provides a sponsorship program as an initiative to promote gender
diversity and develop a more inclusive leadership level. A sponsorship program is a framework through which a company supports the visibility, networking, and capability development of selected woman employees in order to develop their capabilities and
leadership.
Since the program began in FYE2022, we have connected the participants with senior leaders every year, helping them expand their internal networks, raise their visibility, and create new opportunities for growth. In addition to support from sponsors, the program offers a range of growth opportunities tailored to participants’ needs, including finance and English training, assistance in preparing a personal development plan, workshops, and cross-departmental exchange.
Through these initiatives, we broaden participants’ internal networks and opportunities to excel while generating new connections and learning across the entire organization. To date, 31 employees have taken part and 20 of
them have been promoted, demonstrating the significant results the program has delivered. Building on this success, 19 new participants joined the fourth cohort in October 2025 and continue to pursue their growth today. Going forward, we will continue our proactive efforts to foster a corporate culture in which diverse perspectives drive innovation and sustainable growth by supporting women leaders
