First Successful Demonstration Test of a Hydrogen-Oxygen Combustion Burner in a Steel Reheating Furnace

Nippon Sanso Corporation and Nippon Sanso in Europe achieved the world’s first successful demonstration test of a steel reheating furnace fitted with the “Innova-Jet® Hydrogen” hydrogen-oxygen combustion burner, conducted at the Olaberria Plant of ArcelorMittal S.A., one of the world’s largest steel producers. Going forward, the companies will continue research and development of oxy-fuel combustion technology for a range of industrial furnaces, working to reduce CO₂ emissions from industrial furnaces worldwide and contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society.
