The Group focuses its social contribution activities on “Safety and Health,” “Environmental Preservation,” and “Nurturing the Next Generation.” Through our industrial gas business, we promote the safe and reliable supply of gases, environmental preservation, and the development of future generations. We also engage in a wide range of global initiatives, including disaster relief and support for local communities, while encouraging employees to take an active role in these activities.
Initiatives for Volunteer Activities
At Nippon Sanso Corporation, the Group’s operating company in Japan, a framework: volunteer leave system, has been established that enables employees to voluntarily participate in volunteer activities through the use of the existing accumulated paid leave program.
Through this system, employees take part in a wide range of social contribution activities, including environmental conservation and ecosystem restoration, youth development support, blood donation awareness initiatives, community beautification, and disaster relief efforts in areas affected by natural disasters.
In addition to supporting individual volunteer efforts, the company also participates in volunteer activities as an organization.
One such example is its participation as a corporate member of Team Tyura Sango*, an initiative dedicated to the conservation of coral reefs in Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture. Through its involvement in this project, the company contributes to the preservation of biodiversity in Japan and promotes environmental awareness, thereby helping to create a sustainable future.
Through both support for individual volunteer activities and participation in company-led initiatives, the company continues to strengthen its engagement with local communities and the natural environment.
